Change in plans..

After consulting with the Doctors, and contemplating Mom has decided to wait a few more days before having her paracentesis. I think it is a good decision and it relieved anxiety that kept her awake last night. Even though she was awake part of the night, she had a kick a$% session of PT today. She walked 80 feet in a hallway, propelled herself in her wheelchair 87 feet, climbed up and back down 4 stairs using the left railing, climbed up 1 or 2 (can’t remember) stairs using the right railing of the stairwell, and rode a bicycle looking contraption to build endurance (for over 6 minutes).

The rest of the day went well, we are getting excited about a Monday departure!

Busy Bee

Mom had a really good day- tiring, busy, but again she showed everyone just how hard she can push! She got to sleep in, ate, then showered (therapy), relaxed, ate, resumed therapy with walking, exercising, legs, stairs, and endurance, then entertained, ate, relaxed, and is now sleeping. They weren’t specifically mentioned, but using the facilities and grooming breaks were mixed in.

She is scheduled to have a paracentesis done tomorrow not sure as of now what time that procedure will be. She also has a full day of therapy scheduled for tomorrow; 2 hours of OT, 1 hour of PT, and a half hour of recreational therapy.

By the way the times listed at the bottom of each post is inaccurate.

Mom has to be feeling better Zuber brought her Bojangles fried chicken, a couple of sides, and BoBerry biscuits and she enjoyed dinner!

A typical day at CMC Rehab...

We have come a long way since December 2nd. Her day is jam packed with therapy, and she is giving it her all!

Italian party

What a great party! Thanks for all that helped with details both big and small. The best part was Mom got to see friends and coworker she hasn’t seen in awhile.

Italy=Motivation

We thought Mom could use some motivation to make this rehab stay short and sweet. It seemed to work!

Ready for Christmas

We have been ready for Christmas since Thanksgiving. My daughters have decorated my room.
